My water-drinking weight loss plan
I could eat a horse.
My stomach thinks my throat's been cut.
My belly button is kissing my backbone.
You're probably getting the picture - I'm hungry. Very hungry, and I don't know why. I've been eating regular meals and snacks. For some reason, that has not been enough to keep me satisfied. And so I've been eating extra meals and snacks. A lot of snacks.
This has to stop because I'm supposed to be on a diet.
This could all be mental and related to boredom. I am a homebody by nature, but being on lock-down due to the virus has seriously gotten old. With nothing much to do, my mind seems stuck on food. The groceries I bought that are supposed to last three to four weeks are going fast. The way I'm eating, I'll be lucky if they last two.
I've always had a healthy appetite, but this is crazy, even for me. My jeans are getting tighter by the day, and I'm starting to get worried.
Today, I came up with a plan to get the eating under control. I've been drinking water all day - tons of it. Feels like I've had a couple gallons so far. I've been to the bathroom 187 times.
My plan will help me lose weight if I stick to it. I hope I can do that, but feeling full because of a 24-ounce glass of water is nowhere near as satisfying as feeling full because of a cheeseburger.
I have to be honest and admit I haven't been sticking with plain old boring water. A few times, I spruced things up...by adding sugar free fiber. Yum.
Fiber is filling. It can definitely help with hunger pangs. I've used it from time to time in the past with pretty good results. But no matter how full I feel after drinking water with fiber, there always seems to be room for that cheeseburger!
I've got to get my mind on something other than food.
I will not think of cheeseburgers. I will not think of cheeseburgers. I will not think of cheeseburgers...
